Abstract

Indonesia has great potencial in the nature tourism sector, particularly in mountain hiking activities. However, the lack of digital platforms connecting hikers with MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) offering hiking services remains a major challenge in term of service discovery, booking, and communication. This study aims to design the UI/UX of the HikingMate application to bridge the needs of hikers and MSMEs using the Design Sprint method. The method consists of five stages: Understand, Sketch, Decide, Prototype, and Validate. The resulting prototype was tested using the Single Ease Question (SEQ) method with two user groups (hikers and MSMEs). The average SEQ score was 6.0 out of 7, indicating that the application is user-friendly and meets users' needs. Key features include role-based login, service search and filter, inventory management, booking, real-time chat, and a review and rating system. This research concludes that the Design Sprint method is effective in rapidly and efficiently designing user-centered digital solutions, and can significantly enhance connectivity between customers and hiking service providers.
