Perspektif Wanita Generasi Z Tentang Kriteria Pasangan Hidup Ideal: Studi Fenomenologi

The changing perspectives of Generation Z toward romantic relationships indicate a tendency to be more selective in choosing life partners and to delay long-term commitment. This phenomenon suggests that life experiences play an important role in shaping perspectives on the criteria of an ideal life partner. This study aimed to understand the perspectives of Generation Z women regarding the criteria of an ideal life partner based on their life experiences. The study employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Participants were selected using purposive sampling and involved one unmarried Generation Z woman with experience in romantic relationships. Data were collected through in-depth interviews using a semi-structured interview guide and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings revealed three main themes: emotional maturity and communication as the foundation of an ideal life partner, life experiences shaping partner selection standards, and selectiveness in choosing a partner as an effort to build a healthy and sustainable relationship. Experiences in romantic relationships, family, and the social environment contributed to the participant's perspective on an ideal life partner. The study concludes that Generation Z women's perspectives on an ideal life partner are constructed through the meaning-making process of life experiences that shape their preferences and considerations in choosing a partner
